Welcome To

Brigantine Elks Lodge #2428

IT'S FINALLY ARRIVED!  BAYFEST 2010!  All the food is here, the cold beverages are on ice and the entertainment is waiting in the wings.  All we need now is you and continued nice weather.  When I say you, I mean everyone, both patrons and volunteers alike.  It takes a lot of help to pull off a three day event like this and to make it successful.  This end of Summer wing-ding is open to the public and there is no admission fee.  Everything is ala carte.  All you need to do is buy tickets for $1.00 each and exchange them for as much or as little that you may want to eat or drink.  The full itinerary is on our web site at www.brigantineelks.com.  It will tell you what is going on each day, at what time and who the entertainers are.  A complete menu with prices is posted for your perusal at your leisure.  See 'ya here!

Next on the schedule are the interviews of candidates for membership.  There are three sessions and they are all on Friday nights starting at 7:30 PM.  the dates are September 10th, 24th and October 8th.  Notices have been mailed to each candidate filing an application so far.  The new class will be Initiated on October 30th.  If you are thinking of sponsoring a new member, please get those applications into the Secretary as soon as you can.  Please don't wait until the last second like last class.  Thanks.

Don't forget that Friday Night Food will be back again next Friday evening.  Again, volunteers are always needed.  See the sign up board in the Lounge for empty dates and menus for those that are already covered

.      Every year since the first Bayfest back in 1992, (remember the theme, "Welcome Back Columbus 1492 to 1992"?), there will be no column next week.  The old expression "a picture is worth and thousand words" still runs true.  All of the pictures in the local publications will tell the story much better than I can possibly relate.  Talk to you in a couple of weeks.

  Bye, George.
